12-12-20 // 330ml bottle shared. The new vintage is here. Different grape varieties. Again lovely wineous notes. Redwine influences. Dry red wine, grapes, balanced sourness, lower acidity.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, yellow-ish, golden colour with average, frothy, collapsing, white head. Sweet-ish, bretty, funky, fruity, mildly spicy, minimally sugary aroma, notes of white grapes, grape sugar, a touch of nutmeg, vanilla, floral honey, Hubba Bubba bubblegum. Taste is sweet-ish and tart, fruity, mildly bretty, funky, notes of white grapes, grape sugar, white grape juice, hints of floral honey, Hubba Bubba bubblegum, some grassy hop. Viscous texture, minimally dry, simultaneously minimally cloying palate, coarse, lively carbonation. Nice composition, well balanced brett usage, sadly quite overcarbonated - good, but a bit off the road.

28th July 2020 Despite its German origins, this tastes very much Italian Grape Ale to me. Almost clear gold beer, small white head. Palate is light, mildly dry and has a reasonable fine carbonation. A bright minerally white wine is obvious and dominant and follows the nose. Touch of pine and a whisper of citrus. Finishes white wine seltzer like. Quite simplistic but does its one job very well and shows none of its 9.1%. Very drinkable.

17-04-20 // 330ml bottle from the brewery. Lovely glowing golden colour with a slight haze from the yeast. Not really a head. Vineous, mild sweet grape nose with wood. Very soft, fine sparkling mouthfeel. Sweetish grainy saison body. White grape sweetness, more gewürztraminer than riesling. Minera ls. A mild dry Brettanomyces aroma to the end. Lovely hybrid. Potential to age really good.

Bottle. Color: Orangish brown, pinkish long lasting beige head. Nice lacing. Aroma: Moderate tart grapes, spicy and Brett hints. Taste: Mild spicy Saison yeast, notes of red grapes, tart and bittery grapeskins, subtle Brett funk. Light boozy notes at finish. Over medium body, below average carbonation. Moderate tart, bitter and sweet. Somewhat more bitterness at long lasting finish. Smooth, almost creamy mouthfeel. Unusual, pretty complex and nice balance. I like it.

0.33 l bottle from 'Bierothek', bottled in January 2019. A bit hazy, ruby with a thin, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, slightly sourish, vinous, gently fruity and slightly funky aroma of red wine, some barnyard and a touch of oak. Slightly sweet, very moderately sour, vinous, gently fruity and a bit funky taste of red wine, oak, leather and traces of of barnyard, followed by a medium long, slightly tart, fairly woody-dry, vinous and slightly funky finish. Medium to full body, a bit astringent and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nice composition for red wine lovers. Not as complex as expected, but it's very harmonious and the brett is not as overpowering as with other beers from Flügge. Good!
