Bottle courtesy of Jonas, cheers Jonas! Consumed at home, Attenkirchen, after a lazy Sunday afternoon, listening to music and cooking a Portuguese Clam and Chorizo Stew 22nd September 2019. Pours dark gold with a little haziness, malty, sweet and with a light bitterness. It's ok but nothing special

Golden. Aroma is juicy grapes with some bonbon and melasses. Taste is a bit starchy with sour and slight oily sweetness. Ok. Ugly finish.

(Green) bottle. Lightly hazy straw, very little aroma. Mild sweetness, caramel woody notes. Astringent, lingering moderate bitterness.

Bottle. Hazy amber, low offwhite head. Neutral grainy, light green bottle cattiness. Some oxidized grainy notes, medium body, chewy, light minerals.

Bottle. Unclear golden color with small white head. Aroma is sugar icing, pale malts. Taste is lightly grassy, a touch lightstruck, pale malts again, a bit sticky sweet. Silky mouthfeel with medium carbonation that still feels quite fizzy. Green bottle does not help, but it's quite alright.

Einbeck bottle: Golden, hazy, small but stable white foamy layer, bitter-sweetish grainy nose with fruity to herbal hops in the background; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium to full bodied, a bit fizzy; gets even a bit drier and more bitter towards the lingering bitter-sweet finish. Well drinkable, well balanced Bock...

0,33 l bottle from a local REWE market. Unclear golden in the glass, more than a one finger white frothy head. Intensive grainy smell with some caramell in the background. Taste starts less grainy but also present, more caramell. Increasing bitterness. Malty background. Surprisingly quaffable for a Heller Bock. Nice.
