Day 2 of my Eisbock-Week. Had this bottle for years on the shelf, must be pre Covid 19. BB End 2022. Cloudy amber in the glass, no real head. Intensive fruity aroma, plum and cherry, dark smooth malty. Boozy with barrelwood. Taste is creamy malty and milk choco with smooth Bourbon and vanilla. Dark fruity, sticky boozy. But in a great and balanced way. Again a dangerous easy to drink Eisbock. No really carbonation. Great stuff.

Flasche 0,33l: Kastanienbraun, dunkles Mahagoni, leichte Trübung, wenig flüchtiger mittelporiger Schaum; sehr süße + sehr fruchtige Nase, dunkle/eingelegte/getrocknete Früchte, Backpflaumen, Gewürze, Maggi, kräftig Malz, Malzzucker, dunkles Karamell, würziger Honig, süßlich harzig, kräftige würzige Fassaromen, Bourbon; sehr süßer + sehr würziger Körper, dunkle/eingelegte/getrocknete Früchte, dunkle Beeren, würzige Hopfennoten, fruchtig-süße Bitterkeit, würzige Eichenaromen, Bourbon, etwas Maggi, kräftig Malz, dunkles Karamell, würziger Honig, sehr cremig, dezente Kohlensäure, Röstaromen, Kaffee, dunkle Schokolade; malzig-würziger Nachgang

330ml bottle. Cloudy, mahogany colour with dark amber-ish shimmer and slightly late awakening, small, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige head. Complex, sweet-ish, caramel malty aroma, notes of caramel, toffee, dried fruit, Bourbon, vanilla, a spicy touch of marmite, some treacle, nutty hints of Brazil nut, green hazelnut, almond, whiffs of thinner, alcohol. Taste is sweet-ish, slightly nutty, caramel malty, slightly dry woody, minimally tannic, oaky, minimally fruity, hints of treacle, caramel, toffee, fruity honey, some Bourbon, vanilla, dried fruit, almond, marzipan; minimally warming, alcoholic finish. Viscous texture, smooth and soft, minimally tacky palate, soft to flat carbonation. Rich, complex, sweet but rather balanced - a very nice, relatively drinkable sipper.

Semmi hab, barna szín. Kissé édeskés, karamelles, gyümölcsös illat, némi fűszeres hatással. Édes, karamelles, gabonás, gyümölcsös, gabonapárlatos ízek,, enyhe fűszeres vonással. Testes, de nem nehéz, nem szénsavas, enyhén kesernyés. Finom, jó arányokkal rendelkező, kiváló nedű.

Bottle. Unclear deep amber color with white head. Aroma is raisin marmalade, caramel, vanilla. Taste is raisins, marmalade, very thick, wood sugar. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Too much.

Aroma is nutpeel, apple, some wood, vanilla, oak, caramel, some raisin. Taste is some wood spicyness, phenols. Not sweet somehow. Harsh. Meh.

Bottle. Boozy solvent nose.Murky brown, no head. Wood sugar, sugar, solvent, marmelade, pretty off.

15/11/2018. Bottle courtesy of Boris (cheers!) and shared with Danlo and SHIG. Pours red brown with a small foamy off-white head. Aroma of toffee, molasses, vanilla, malt, fruit, wood, bourbon, alcohol. Medium to heavy sweetness, light bitterness. Full bodied, sticky texture, soft carbonation. Warming finish. Lovely.

330ml bottle courtesy of Grumbo at Grumbo's not the only rater in Suffolk tasting, cheers Graham! Deep orangey brown amber colour, thin off-white foam head and aroma of toffee, malt, orangey. Taste is malty, toffee, caramel, brown sugar, bourbon notes. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry boozy finish. Very drinkable.

Bottle thanks to Grumbo. Poured a mahogany with whispery tan head. Aroma is boozy, dark fruits, malts. Taste is toffee, vanilla, boozy, alcohol burn.
