Bottle from BeerLovers, AirBnB beer while packing. Wrapped in paper so it must be good. Hazy amber color lazy head. Aroma of Christmas fruitcake, tannins, caramel. Taste has more tannins, sweet dark fruit, caramel, vanilla, whiskey. More complex and flavorful than the non barrel version.

Mooch tasting
Hazy dark amber colour. Nice aroma of malt, wood, bourbon, toffee, light apple. Sweet, good malt base, with nice oak notes that reveal notes of toffee and vanilla; no evidence of Eis-ing processing; the alcohol is well hidden.
Delicious.

Amber with a bit of haze. There's a lot of wood coming off of the nose, Lots of alcohol, with a ton of wood, tannins. The malts are caramel, sweet sugar, more mature than the non-BA version. Long, complex flavours. I find the barrel really does balance this well.

Bottle - Light wood, cedar, rasisin and caramel. Clearish copper with a small white head. Barell notes, raisin and a long finish. Lots of caramel, toffee and barrel notes.

330mL bottle, pours a hazy dark caramel amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of bourbon barrels, caramel, lager yeast, and bready malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of caramel, bready malts, tons of German lager yeast, and of course prominent bourbon barrels. Nice use of the barrels - the lager yeast retains its prominence and character.

Bottle shared @ Koelschtrinker's Tasting. The beer starts smooth and intense sticky with alcoholic parts. Not too sticky, nice bittered in the end. Nice dry with woody hints. Smooth, really nice and round and light for this ABV. Nice one, malty caramelly dry with nice sharp bitter endings. Smooth wood, nice.

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle from 'BIerhandwerk', best before end of 2022. Slightly hazy, dark brownish amber with an off-white head. Sweetish-malty, boozy and a bit fruity aroma of caramel, honey, sultanas and vanilla. Very sweet, malty, slightly fruity taste of caramel, honey, vanilla and some sultanas, followed by a long, fairly boozy, slightly woody finish. Medium to full body, slightly oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite nice, a bit too alcoholic though.

Süffiger, cremig würzig süßer Beginn. Fein würzig, der Alkohol ist erkennbar, stört aber nicht. Geringe Bitterkeit, süffig, erstaunlich rund. Langer Nachhall. 9/11/12/11/12/11
