We macerated figs in a beer aged for 16months, together with honey from our neighbours. At bottling this beer was blended with some barrel-aged rhubarb wine.

Bottle, 750 ml at charity tasting Wien 2022. Shared with Miro B, Werckmeister and others. Clear orange with almost no head. Honey, some figs, bit spicy, rhubarb, tad sweet, moderate sweetness. Low carbonation.

0,75l bottle shared at charity tasting at home. yellow clear color, small white head. Smells earthy, figs, spices, flowery. nice smell. full body, soft carbonation. Tastes honey, mead like, rhubarb, spices, bit herbal, earthy. Finishes lightly sweet with notes of honey, rhubarb and spices. weird and interesting. drinkable

Paired with red wine risotto w\ chanterelle, honey figs and herbs. Initially very rhubarb forward but as it warms I get some figs but also the hoppy bitter aromatics, oak and funk of the base beer. Complex and overall very tasty. Worked well with the food

Flaska från Antidoot. Flaskad 2021-01. Tjusigt rostfärgad rosa med vit krona. Svårplacerad, nötig och lite ”grön” ton i doften som nästan drar åt baljväxt, tillsammans med en svag ton av färska fikon. Rabarbern ligger längre bak. Något lättare kropp, låg kolsyra, hög mineral. Även i smaken en lite udda och svårinringad ton. Baljväxter, något nötig, färska fikon, rabarber. Växer till sig med mer utav rabarber och färska fikon en bit in. Intressant och kul, men kanske inte fullt mitt i prick denna gång.

Pretty clear bright red beer, no head. Aroma: sourish impression, green herbs, rhubarb touch, metallic notes. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: wow, very intense, rather bitter, grassy, bit funky, red currants, beetroot, earthy with a fruity touch. Aftertaste: juicy, funky, more rhubarb, fruity, bitter notes, soe orange peel bitterness, marmalade, slightly soapy, red currants again. Good stuff, very original and interesting!

Beautiful amber/pinkish colour, white foam. Nose of ripe figs, fig peel, honey, rhubarb, wood. Taste has lots of figs, fruitiness, rhubarb. Rather bitter finish. Tart, sweet and bitter. Interesting combination.
