It's been a few decades since a Colossal Claude sighting has been reported, but we're fairly certain the massive sea monster has been laying low off the coast of his favorite brewery. Word has it that after years of terrifying sailors and feasting on salmon he acquired a taste for hops. So we brewed this Imperial IPA with a colossal dose of Cascade, Chinook, Citro and Strata hops in hope of coaxing Claude out to join us for a pint.

My tasting will be from a 12 oz can that came from who knows where. I lift the tab and it is like Old Faithful, hate it when that happens. Save maybe 2/3 of the can. So I clean up and move on. An unclear. murky yellow liquid with a slight top of completely white foam. I smell ripe fruit, a touch of grain, a bit of hops and wistfulness. A drink brings an improvement, yellow fruit, hops, white bread, orange rind and a bit of toffee. Somewhat bitter. Tolerable, expected more.

Can thnx to a friend, orange amber beer, small head. Aroma is citrus, tropucal fruit, malt, caramel, hops, pine. Taste is the same, bitter, pibe, resin, hops, citrus, tropical fruit, very nice

Draught, 8.2%. Weak dusty aroma. Cloudy golden colour. Ok stable white head. Fruity flavour, malty with bubble gum notes. Some alcohol, but not too bitter or warming. Creamy mouthfeel.

Can @ Fox and Hounds Sønderborg on Øllets Dag 2022. Pours slightly hazy straw with airy white head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with touches of fruit and hops. Bitter, hoppy and grassy flavour with sweetish notes of malt and yeast. Bitter and estery aftertaste. Decent.

330ml can from Farmers Bar, Avenue K, Kuala Lumpur. Poured an unclear golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light orange citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a crisp, malt, stale piney hops, light herbal, light citrus, light floral hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A poor beer from Rogue. Canned 7th March ‘22.

Can. Unclear golden body under a fine, lacing off-white head. Aroma has malt, citric fruit, grapefruit, pine and some alcohol. Taste is smooth, distinct biscuit malt, general hoppy fruitiness, hint of pine, pleasant bitterness and boozy in a nice way. Balanced body with a pleasant aftertaste. Nice old school Imp. IPA with a boozy touch.
