Bottle picked up from Appel Getränkemarkt Moosburg and consumed at home Sunday 28th November 2021 listening to Idles - Crawler in front of the fire 🔥. We have a homemade Goulash in the slow cooker. Pours hazy, dirty gold with a white head. Thick in the mouth there is a softness, sweetness and warmth from the abv. There is a nice little fudge brownie touch, drinks far too easy for the abv. Great.

From the flip top bottle. Woody aroma, full of oak, caramel, and sour apple. Taste is sweet with hints of toffee and a light warmth at the end. No real sense of the whiskey. Medium body, moderate to soft carbonation. Pleasant although the tartness at the end collides a bit with the toffee and oak.

Gravity pour (it seems) at the Ettaler Holzfass-Festival. Unclear golden-orange color with no head. Aroma is custard, vanilla, oak. Taste is oak, vanilla, chocolate, lots of wood, the beer becomes a bit overpowered. Rather dry, vineous, almost tart finish with medium carbonation. Fun enough, but it has quite the typical German "first try at barrel aging" flavours in there. Nothing wrong with it, though.

Tap at the Ettaler Holzfass Festival. Typical whiskey vanilla notes, light custard, a bit caramel, mellow mouthfeel, fine desert beer.
