350ml can from Japan Centre online. Pours a lively clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of citrus, not surprisingly, light biscuit. Taste is clean and crisp, with a light lemon acidity. Clean finish.

Can - can't recall a canned Hitachino Nest beer before. Hazy gold with a fading white head. Aroma of yuzu and citrus blossoms, maybe some crackers. There's a little more to the taste though with a clean sweet malt and a floral bitter kick. But it's really all about the yuzu, but that's OK. Refreshing.

Tap from the dreaded Tap Marche. Clear gold with a low, tight head. Nose is huge yuzu with some crackery malt. Salty flavor of yuzu and pilsner-type malts. Refreshing and tasty, but really just yuzu over-riding everything.

Clear golden coloured body with a smallish, single centimetre tall, just off-white head that stays afloat barely on top. Aroma of citrus, grass, grapefruit, a light dose of hay and flowers and a touch of alcohol noticeable at the end, with a surprising amount of malt and astringency noticeable. Light-bodied; Very sharp citrus flavours show through with some lemons, full oranges, curacao, a dash of grapefruit zest and some dry floral notes towards the end, all with a very light set of sugars as well. Aftertaste shows more of the citrus complexities with a very dry and grassy finish, some light herbal notes with rosemary and thyme noticeable, but a touch of sweetness at the end as well, along with some astringent and cleanser-like notes. Overall, a relatively pungent and flavourful lager with a lot of citrus and complex notes that lead to a dry and very grassy finish, but very nice for the style, well-polished and very drinkable. I sampled this 350 mL can, purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 21-December-2019 for US$4,19 sampled at my house here in Washington on 24-May-2020.
