After a few years of home brewing in our garage, my brother and I decided we should open a brewery so that we could share our beer. In 2009 we started with a one barrel system and worked on a single recipe, over and over, until Peeper was born. And now we have enough to share. Cheers!

Flavor Profile: Aromas of lemon, grapefruit and fresh cut grass. Delicate notes of raspberry, strawberry, pine, floral and faint bread

Hops: Amarillo, Cascade, Centennial

Malt: American 2-Row, Carapils, Red Wheat, Vienna

16.9oz bottle shared by Anndiesel. Hazy orange-yellow body. Big, foamy white head. Lemony dry, straw tinged aroma. Kind of has a rindy, noble hop going on..maybe it’s just the amarillo. The bottle is well past the expiration date, pretty shabby that beer stores don’t pull this kind of thing. Has a nice bold hop tone, but has developed a stale cardboard thing too. Would like to try this fresh 6-4-6-3-14......had it fresh...Slightly hazy yellow body. Steady creamy white head. Very clean with a pronounced hop tones. Bright, dry, straw tones. Solid. Score adjusted.

Starts off like a more or less ordinary golden ale but finishes with a very astringent zing of flavour. Pours golden lager-like with great lacing, ok head. Lively carbonation. Tangy and light bitter finish. On tap at brewery.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a fizzy looking head that sticks around for a bit and laces on the sides of the glass. Aromas are a lovely mixture of pineapple, resin, maybe a little mango or orange and a bit of honey like sweetness. Flavor is OK, but the beer I’m drinking comes across as a little bit stale at times. That’s odd since it was bought cold and was kept cold and is only a month old as per the bottling date. The hops presence is fine enough on the palate, but it seems more tingly and resiny with less fruit than I detected in the nose. It’s a very decent beer, but not as good as the other Maine Beer Company beers I have sampled.

13/VII/13 - 1Pt. 6Fl. Oz. bottle shared with Carlo @ Struise Schooltje - bottled: V/28/13, BB: VIII/26/13 (2013-626) Thanks to Guang for the bottle!

Clear yellow beer, creamy to rocky irregular white head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of citrus fruits, pineapple, grapefruit, white grapes, slightly floral, very delicate. MF: lots of carbon, light to medium body. Taste: fruity start, citrus, pineapple, some grapefruit, pretty bitter hops, little grassy, overall fruitiness. Aftertaste: bitter, citrus, lemon peel, grapefruit, white grapes, bitter, dry almost woody finish. Suspecting some Nelson Sauvin, but could be totally wrong of course.

Bottle purchased at Whole Foods, Charlottesville. I bought this because I never saw it before... never even heard of it. Pours cloudy golden with a frothy white head. Smells of citrus... lemon. Tangy citrus flavor: lemon, grass, orange peel. I was pleasantly surprised!

On tap @ Blind Tiger House. A light cloudy, deep blurry dark golden one with a small but nicely lacing off-white top. Nice fresh nose with citrus, snow, a little bit of peaches. It's not an extreme aroma, but it's still really inviting and fruity. Fresh as fresh gets really, perhaps a bit to fresh? Some soft traces of yeast, lots of cacti and zest. It's really lightdrinkable this, and the carbonation level is spot on. It's gliding down scary fast this one. Clean, fresh and just a pleasure to drink. Really well balanced and really good. 12.06.2013

From a 50 cl bottle shared at home. Pours a hazy gold with a thick white head. Grassy hop aroma. Flavor of biscuit and some metallic notes. Refreshing, bitter finish.

Bottle - hazy gold with a pillowy, perfectly sustained head - looks great - nose is soft, semisweet crystal malt, with strong herbal notes, earthy wheat malt, a light mineral note, grass, dandelion - soft, frothy carbonation - the inclusion of wheat malt creates a lovely texture - light, clean sweetness at first, but dries out fast, allowing the spicy and earthy hops to shine - a light mineral bite accentuates the hop flavor and bitterness - some notes of wildflowers in the finish, which is dry and lightly peppery - simple, but very flavorful - exceptional all-around quality, but the price is far too high, even for something of this quality.

12 oz draft at the Pizzeria Paradiso - Dupont Circle, Washington DC> The pour is a hazed orange golden with a smallish off white head. The aroma is a soft orange citrus, resin grass hop and fresh dry cracker malt. The taste is a really fresh, round orange fruit, along with the vibrant resin grassy hop, balanced with a light and crisp toasted grain malt. A bit of lemon citrus comes out as it warms. The palate is light bodied, soft natural carbonation and a very dry mineral finish. Tons of flavor in this one, really nice.
