Can at home in the garden, probably from Sterk, Amsterdam, 30th July 22. Pours a dark chestnut brown. Aroma is dates, caramel, wood, light tequila, sticky malts. Taste is caramel, sticky malts, wood, barrel and vanilla, some tequila, subtle and integrated. Everyone loves a tequila barrel aged Barley Wine, and I’m no exception

33cl Blik van Bierwinkel Alkmaar. Donkerbruine kleur, beige kraag. Rozijntjes, donker fruit, vijgen, vanille, hout, neigt meer naar een BA Quad, redelijk zoet, bruine suiker, degelijk bitter. Subtiele Barrel Ageing, mooie volle smaken. Lekker.

Can @ home. Dark amber colour, white foam. Nose of marzipan, wood, dried fruit, caramel, tequila finish. Well balanced, sweet and boozy but a nice sipper.

Can sourced from Beerdome and drunk at home (28/08/2021) - very dark brown with a beige head. Sweet and toasted malty with some caramel and toffee sweetness, dark dried fruit shred, caramelised brown sugar, spices, medium plus body, encompassing tequila soaked wooden accents into the lingering spiced warming sweet malty finish. 330 ml can. Pours a dark mahogany with lightish head. Aromas of caramel, raisins, a bit of booze and bready malts. Flavors of oily dark fruit, soft tequila, caramel, and sweet toasted malts, Nicely balanced - tequila BA seem to be tough to get balance. This one is done well.

Can thanks to Stuu666. Appearance - deep amber to brown. Tan head. Nose - ginger cake, prunes, raisins and a green note that might be aloe vera. Taste - prunes, cake and raisins. Baked apple. Palate - medium bodied, sweet and rich with drying edge from the wood. Overall - very nice.
