The Gewurzt Tilquin à l'ancienne 8.4 % alc. (available in 75cl), which is is made from the fermentation of 250 g of Gewurztraminer grapes by liter of lambic.

Pours a clear blonde, medium sized, yet stable white head. Scent is full, earthy grape character, but surely fruity as well, bit floral even. Mild lambic aroma underneath. Taste is Surprisingly tart, higher acidity than expected. Milder in fruits (still pretty fruitforward) than the aroma sugests. Floral has the uperhand, rather than the earthtyness that took the lead in the aroma. Quite balanced. Nothing exceptionally great to my taste, but as far as balance and character go, this is a really good one !

Bouteille 75cl, BB 24/11/2030. Partager avec Vincent, Hughe, Alex et Adrien A noter aussi la différence d'écriture entre le premier batch qui n’épelait pas Gewurztraminer en entier et le second.
Probablement une de mes préférées de la série des raisins - où le moelleux du cépage se combine à merveille avec le funk des lambics et un apport délicat fruité rappelant qcq pointes de litchi voire de douceur venant rappeler la pêche et un léger retrait d'épices. Soupçons de fruits confits. Le tout reste encore franchement bien complexe avec quasi 5 ans de bouteille.

Bottle shared. Soft hazy golden with small head. Bright funk, sweet malts, oak, spicy sweet grapes, zesty, light peppery, dry cellar funk. Medium sweet and sour. Full bodied. Nice!

Bottle from De Bierliefhebber. Vintage 20|21. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, grapes, barnyard and wood. Flavor is medium sweet and rather acidic. Dry and rather acidic finish. 100525

Bottled 750ml. -at Ambasada Zagreb. Unclear orange/golden coloured, small off-white head, grapes and light woody nose. Tart fruity, tannins, white grapes and touch of oak with noticable brett in the finish. Moderate carbonation.

Hazy, muddle appearance. No head. But, it does have that leather Tilquin nose, with a nice grape character over top. Balanced - big body, leather, touch of brett, big fruit, medium acidity in the finish. A beer you could drink for days.
