Smooth and roasty stout pumped up with loads of chocolate, flaked oats, and a cold addition of Zekes coffee.

Can from 8 Degrees Plato. Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of brown head that lingers. Big coffee, espresso forward nose with cacao nib, light plum and kitkat notes. Coffee / espresso bomb on the palate with lots of cacao nib, dark fruit, roasted malt notes. Fairly smooth and easy drinking for the abv. Good lingering espresso and dark malt notes. --- Beer merged from original tick of Son of A Baptist on 14 Sep 2019 at 23:16 - Score: 8

Can, bb 12/19. Supposed to be able to tell from the can which version but I can't. Black with a tan head that's a coat soon enough. Aroma of good fresh coffee with dark berries, burnt caramel, chocolate. Silky texture. Fairly sweet with moderate roast and bitter chocolate, then some light citrus notes, dark berries and caramelish coffee. The coffee is very nice but is not allowed to dominate. A decent nip of bitterness at the end. Very good.
