Op tap bij Brauhaus am Kreuzberg. Donker roodbruine tot zwarte kleur, beige kraag. Medium zoet, licht rokerig, bacon, licht fruitig, gerookte pruimen, wat chocolade en gebrande mout, degelijk bitter. Lichte body. Prima.

Tap at the brewpub. Hazy dark red body, off-whtie head, quite thick. Herbal, bit funky aroma. Smokey, spicy, bit fatty taste, nice smoked ham notes, passable balance. A pretty solid beer!

Flaska från Landbierparadis. Mörkbrun vätska med lågt skum. Medelstor rökighet. Torv, lakrits, chark, nötter, mörkt bröd och lite tjära. Relativt torr, lätt beska och kort eftersmak. Trevlig smakbild som dock saknar lite djup.

Swing top bottle. Dark brown color. Beechwood and smoked sausage in the aroma. Malt flavor with hints of licorice, smoked sausage and plums. Delicious!

Tap. Hazy brown color with creamy eggshell head. Aroma is smoked ham, roast, bread. Taste is smoked ham, umami, roast, chalky, a bit too much. Silky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Good enough, but a bit chalky.

Bottle bought @ Landbierparadies. Pours close to clear reddish brown with a frothy beige head that leaves some sticky lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty, smokey and tiny floral with dark bread, caramel, hay, moist soil, peat, smoked sausage and hints of lemon peal and yoghurt. Taste is tiny sweet, slightly bitter, very tiny sour, slightly malty, smokey and tiny floral. Mouthfeel is soft, round and medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet, tiny bitter and tiny sour with sourdough bread malts, smoked sausages, pears and yoghurt. On tap from the source at Kreuzberg Keller, Franconia-Germany. Pours a brown wooden color, cloudy with an ivory tick cap. Nose: smoked mozzarella, speck-meat, bread crust as well. Mouth: medium-soft carbonation, bacon-speck ham, thin body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

* Old rating, best before 07.10.10. Schön malzig-rauchiges Bier. Schön trocken mit karamelligen Zügen, eine milde aber intensive Rauchigkeit überlagert das Geschehen. Toll!
