Pours a bright red , mild purple glow. High visible carbonation. Scent is showing some red grapes, but lighter so than expected. fresh, crisp appleskins, intenser on the apple than the grapes, contradicting the expectations after the view. Taste is sharp, medium tart, very dry, appleskins, quite tanninic, High carbonation. Not my preference, but well made.

Antidoot wine and cider hybrid - for a change, as I normally only rate beers, but I was curious to find out how they approach the cider concept. Bottle shared at Wild in Groningen. Open, loose, thin, off-pinkish, dissolving 'head' on a deep, misty wine red robe with brownish-tinged burgundy glow. Aroma of freshly pressed sweet red apple juice (very strong), red grapes, basil, cooked gooseberries, blackberry jam, old and oxidized rosé wine. Both cooked and farm fresh red apple effects in the mouth, the latter stronger than the first, increasing red wine effect, grapey and a tad astringent, matching well with the soft juiciness of the apples, sourish edge round a thinnish, supple body, warming madera-ish alcohol in the finish, becoming increasingly vinous - yet that red apple freshness and sweetness remains the dominant factor. Nothing too complex, but in any case very 'honest' and certainly special, as I had no idea what a hybrid of cider and red wine was going to taste like. For me personally, not worthy of the hefty price tag, though...

Plenty of apple, but in a dry, slightly earthy and dusty form. Lightly tart. The wine / grapes shine through as well, but play back-up to the cider part, in a very balanced way. Pretty restrained, refreshing and light. Fun stuff.

Pale pink head, fast gone over deep cardinal-red beer. Vinous, raspberry, cherry, other red fruit, hints at various acids. Apples, strange enough, arrive later, and as dried apples. Pretty sour, if not exaggeratedly, taste, going towards astringency; again ultra-dry, applejuice with all the sugars removed. Acidity however retreats gradually, just leaving the dryness and moving to somewhat more classical ciderflavours. Lipsmacking acidity, light body if pretty slick, feels somehow carbonated enough whilst looking perfectly still. Great cider, but! The same remark as your colleague from Bofkont: I'm really getting tired of this repressive attitude to sales. Leave it to your customers to judge whom they sell to, they know better than you!
