Bottle, 4.4%. Good bready aroma. Black colour, seems clear. Big stable creamy brown head. The flavour is roasted and bready with a mild chocolate note. A little coffee bitterness, but otherwise not so bitter. 637314

Bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel, with notes of yeast and touches of chocolate. Bitter, roasty flavour with touches of yeast, dark chocolate, and caramel malt, and estery notes. Bitter, roasty aftertaste with touches of yeast. A nice one, if watery.

Eines der beiden neuen Biere aus dem Haus des japanischen Ziegenbocks (Kozel gehört zu Asahi), die ich diesem Sommer im Supermarkt gefunden habe. Es ist ein schwarzes Getränk das schon einen intensiven Schokoladenduft beim Einschenken verströmt, wobei der Geschmack nach dunkler Schokolade erst durchkommt, wenn das Bier wärmer wird. Allerdings kommen so die leichten Hopfennoten bei höherer Temperatur nicht mehr wirken. So hat es wirklich schöne Aromen nach Schokolade, Kakao und Karamell, allerdings wirkt es etwas unrund.

Bottle at a tasting with the boys. Med-thin body, medium carbonation. Only light chocolatey, rather aggressive burnt roastiness. Not very easy to drink, considerably harsh. Not very much though. Average.

Bottle from Kaufland. Pitch black body, brownish head, thickish. Dry dark malt aroma, maybe slightly roasted dark chocolate, but mainly dry dog food. Taste... chocolate and dry dog food, lean and bitter, vague plums. No, not my type of dark lager. Aggressive and dry dog food all over the place, while being lean and bitter. Maybe it's just this bottle, but... no, can't force myself to give more to it.
