The nineteenth one of 22 beers for our 12th wedding anniversary. Šajla's.
Bottle 0.375l, four years aged. Very dark red to black colored. AROMA- strongly raspberries, roasted to burnt, raisins, acai coffee, touch of whiskey. FLAVOR- smooth, moderately sweet, moderately sour, lightly bitter, raspberry, touch of whiskey, cocoa nibs. Fuller bodied.
Nice chocolate dessert with raspberries.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Max's place. Thaks Dean K. for this bottle! Black, beige foam. Berries, whiskey, vinegar note, vanilla, a bit of roast, chocolate note, sour and sweetish, malt, a bit of caramel, rounded mouthfeel. Very nice and complex.

Bottle, 375 ml. Shared with kajser27 and Miro B. Dark brown with beige head. Malty, chocolate, some fruity notes. Smooth, bitter. Quite thin with no real thickness anywhere.

Bottled 375ml. -Courtesy of Marko, shared with him & hrabren, thanks! Black coloured, small to medium sized beige head, berries and raspberry in the nose. Raspberry, light blackberry, notes of wood and touch of blackberry wine with discreet whisky presence.

Bottle from the brewery. Murky dark brown body, tan-reddish head. The aroma is pure blackberries - as in black raspberries, tart, with some mild maltiness and cocoa. Attractive? Not necessary. But oooh, the taste is, raspberries, soft, mild coconut - likely from the wood. The wood itself is there, trace maybe, but not really outright whiskeyish. Tart, soft, not full enough. Excellent, huge respect for this!

0.375 l bottle shared with little Dina, Ogi and Marko. Thanks Marko for bringing this from Prague. Dark ruby red to reddish brown, small off-white head. Aroma is fresh berries, blackberry, raspberry, blackberry wine, vinous, also cherry brandy. Cherry and cocoa cake. A touch of glue. Fruit juice also. Tart berries, cherry and raspberry cake, cocoa nibs, red wine, hints of tobacco, spices, oak and whiskey. Nice sipper, but strong. Some fruity sweetness. Medium body, softer carbonation. Great balance. Very sophisticated.
