Lager can take many different forms. This one is on a traditional note, brewed with a high amount of unmalted barley to achieve a fuller mouthfeel. We lagered it for many weeks on fine French oak that added a hint of toastiness to the herbal aroma of Saaz Special hops and slight woody bite to its refined bitterness. True timeless classic to be enjoyed any day of any century, so how about today?

On tap at BeerGeek Bar, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out straw, grass, crackery malt and a hint of oak. Compared to Everyday Life, this definitely showcases the oak, with a woodier, earthier character. It's still crisp and biting but the wood replaces some of that grass. It's definitely good.

500 ml can. Palest cloudy yellow with a small head. Hay, grain, straw, citrus, biscuits, some grapefruit zest, honey, slightly metallic. Grainy sweetness, dry hoppy bitterness. Medium to full bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry bittersweet finish. Decent, well made!

50cl can. A clear yellow golden beer with a white head. Aroma of dry grainy malt, straw, hints of oak. Taste of dry grainy malt, pale malt, cereals, some oak.

Tap @Axiom in Brno-CZ. Many thanks Cuso for guiding my local tour. Golden clear with a tick and irregular white foam. Nose: hint of leather (+), bread crust, mild floral. Mouth: pretty sweet malty (I spot vanilla in some way), feels like a very good and well-brewed premium lager with balanced although evident malty character. Good job here

Can from Voldby @ Home. Pours slightly hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma of malt, bread, light vanilla, liight honey, grass, litttle fruit. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, malt, bread, vanilla, light oak, grassy, light fruit. Medium body, average carbonation, light bitter finish. Easy going. 210422

Can. Golden color with huge, not very stable white ehad. Aroma of malt, light toasty notes, herbal hops. Taste starts malty, light perfume, followed by moderate portion of noble hops, fruity notes, oak. Nice one.

# 2718; 1/2022. Malty, herbal and vanilla aroma. Gold body with white head. Malty, vanilla, herbal, slighlty buttery. Very good bohemian pilsener. 0,5 l, draught, bar, Prague.

500ml Can - Golden with a white head. Bread, grain and some woody and citrussy notes in the aroma. The taste is grassy and bready with some notes of lemon, herbs, lime and some subdued but noticeable woody and oaky notes. A tasty lager with a difference.
