Bottle split at the last minute CBJ Tasting (big thanks Marcin for hosting), cheers to LKS for this one, 13/07/23. Black with a good sized tan cap that stays for the show. Nose is earthy fruits, dark malts, hint of coffee, trace of bourbon, candied fruit peel. Taste comprises dark malts, dried fruits, light yeast elements, oak, modest bourbon, brown sugar dusting, figs, toffee. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a kiss of alcohol. Not bad.

Bottle shared at craft beer junction bermondsey. Thanks. A dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a halo of beige head. Aroma is semi sweet, oily, brown sugars spicy woody tannin, smoked fruit. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty toasted nuts, roasted brown coloured pour. Oily, hint of smoke. Robust roast. Palate is semi sweet nutty tangy.

Bottle shared in London - picked up online. Pours clear, deep brown with a bubbly, mocha topping. Medium sweet flavour, nice well toasted malts, nips of leathery dark fruits, raisins, burnt marshmallow, wood. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, more earth, roast, aged berries. Tasty.

Not the L6 bottleshare. Thanks to LKS.. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, slightly soft, reasonable fine carbonation. Chocolate Malteasers, some dark chocolate. Soft dark malt cream. A little spice on the soft finish. Nice job. Fluffy and drinkable.

Black beer, tan head. Smell has toasty malt, dried fruit. Flavour has dried fruit, some berries, rye, toasted malt, a touch of anise, sugar, Bourbon. Rich with boozy warmth, a little of the wood coming through in the finish. This is a winner.

Bottle from Cork & Cask. Black body with a tan head. Faint lacing. Aroma of prune, raisin, soy sauce, espresso and cherries. Flavour of umami, liquorice, Worcestershire sauce, blackcurrant and a hint of spice. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Thereβs a lot going on in this.

Bottle. Pretty much black with a light tan head that's soon at the rim but never quite disappears. 3+ Smells mostly stouty - brioche dough, chocolate, whiskey, roasted malt, singed nuts some dark fruit. 8- But then it's more open and fruity and rather less roasty and chocolatey upon a taste. Bittersweet with spices, licorice and a suggestion of sourness. Less obvious whiskey except for some oak at the end. Deep, good balance.
