On cask at Wigtown Ploughman, Wigtown - Hazy gold, little white head. Run of the mill golden beer, plenty of grassiness and citrus, a little bitter twang in the aftertaste.

Christmas present from the Mrs. Clear gold. Thick foamy white head. Aroma has citrus, a touch of quinine. Underlying damp fruit and malts. Medium bitter. Sour tangy citrus. Underlying malts. A dryness to the flavours. Develops a sweeter underbelly. Light. Slick. Prickly carbonation combines with a long dry somewhat astringent finish. Undoubtedly old school - certainly seems to have been gone from Golden Ale status to being described as a Pale Ale complete with an array of US hops - but actually quite punchy, despite not being overly interesting.

Bottle from Harris & Co in Castle Douglas. Slightly hazy pale amber with a white head. Quite fizzy. A fresh grassy hop aroma. Tastes of white bread and lemon. Yeah, it's ok, quite drinkable.

Bottle from the brewery online shop. Pours clear golden with a thick white head. Aromas of light tropical fruit, light citrus, faint bread. Taste has more of a lemon barley water thing. Good bitterness on the finish though.
