With its distinctive orange hues, this smooth, robust, naturally cloudy cider is a Somerset tradition. For those who like oak-aged cider medium dry, our cidermakers choose apples including Tremlett’s Bitter for its tannins, while Dabinett brings a rich, full body.

Cask at New Cross Inn. Rate was not accepted. So a quick one - sour stuff with a ahnt of juicy sweetness. Sour aroma. Pithy. Hazy. Foamy white head develops a bald spot. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. OK

Cask at Bon Accord. Cloudy, glowing orange, thin head. What a color! Creamy apple, touch of vanilla, yellow plums. Sweet, tangy, tannic finish. Really nice scrumpy type. Rich and tasty, full body.

No idea why this hasn't been merged with the standard Cheddar Valley. Box @ Boathouse Cider Festival. Tastes and looks like the other one, albeit perhaps a bit thinner. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Cheddar Valley on 19 Jul 2013 at 15:52 - Score: Appearance - 10 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 5.5. Original review text: Pint at various public houses in the South of England. Beautifully deep orange colour, smooth medium dry blend with no carbonation. Not especially refreshing and a little tame, but still a firm favourite.

Bladder bag at the Rose & Crown, HW, 19/05/22. Almost clear carrot juice orange with a good sized white cap as ciders go. Nose is modest apple, sugars, tannins, straw. Taste comprises light tangy apple, straw, tannins, sugars. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, light drying close. Passable cider.

22/4/2022. From BIAB at The Ale House, Chelmsford. Pours hazy dark orange with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is floral, tinned peaches, hubba bubba bubblegum, sweet apple, dairy lee triangle, slight mucky edge. Medium sweetness and light tartness. Moderate body, soft carbonation. Slightly cheesy tangy bubblegum finish. Bit odd.
