Jedes Frühjahr im Handel: Maibock ist stärker und süffiger als ein klassisches Pilsener. Nach Dithmarscher Brauart bekommt es darüber hinaus eine dezent-frische Note, die Laune auf den Frühling macht.

0.33 l bottle from 'Craftbeershop.com', best before October 2025. clear, amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Slightly sweetish, a bit malty, minimally floral aroma of grains, vegetables and traces of honey. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, musty and a bit floral taste of grains, iron, vegetables, cardboard and a touch of honey, followed by a short, gently bitter, slightly metallic finish. Awful stuff, definitely the worst Bock I've had in a while.

Bottle picked up from Craftbeer webshop, Parchim, Germany and consumed at home Wednesday 30th April 2025, we had the now amazing and legendary 😍 Nidi di Tagliatelle al forno (baked pasta nests) again tonight after a hard few hours of mowing the garden. Listening to Snapped Ankles - Hard Times Furious Dancing. Pours warm gold with a mid sized white head. Malty nose, a little caramel and a touch of honey., Malty in the mouth a little straw, sweet, caramel but all told it's a tad pedestrian and not a patch on the previous Maibock I've just had.

330ml bottle. Opalescent, orange, dark golden to amber colour with average, firm, frothy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Minimally grainy and toasty bready, pale malty aroma, hints of honey, bread crust. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally starchy, pale malty with a minimally toasty, bready touch and slightly bitter, minimally floral hoppy, hints of honey, a touch of grape sugar; lingering, bitter hoppy finish.
Dissolved sugar enriched, minimally oily, watery texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying and greasy, simultaneously minimally dry palate, medium, slightly scattered, mildly prickly carbonation.
Homogeneous, balanced, a bit monotonous - OK.

Dithmarscher Maibock, Fläschchen von Getränkeland, Rostock. - Kupfergold, blank. (25.4.2024.)

Solid pilsner malt heavy maibock. Clean and light. Just a touch of muddiness in the back, adds character. Graeff hamburg

0,33 l swing top bottle. Listed with 6.8% abv on the label. Clear dark golden with a more than two finger foamy head in the glass. You can´t expect more. Low grassy grainy on the nose. Taste starts with grain and caramell. Increasing dry malty, little bit toasted, alcoholic bitterness. Hints of barrelwood. Spicy. Little bit fruity. Okay.

Swing-top 330ml bottle bought from djoeye. Big shot when opened. A clear, warm golden body under a patchy white head leaving spotty lacing behind. Dried fruity aromas with earthy malts. Mid-sweet dried fruity taste profile with hints of caramel malts. Malt-fruity ending, oily palate. Fine depth. Like it. (Tromsø 11.08.2018).

Flaske tilveiebragt av djoeye. Drukket på Bergstua. Varm gylden. Middels høyt luftig skum som daler sakte. Litt søt gressaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken balansert. Litt urter. Søt malt. Tørr etterhvert. Bra!
