A Philly Sour Black IPA with coffee from our friends at hasbean.

This is a complex beer, with dark roasty flavours from the grain and coffee, bright fruity flavours provided by the hops and a pleasant tartness bringing you back for another sip. Kanpai!

440ml can delivered from Hops & Dots and drunk at home. Very, very dark brown - bordering on black - with a rocky tan head. Big scent of pine in the aroma with grass, chocolate malt. Sweet taste with a light sourness quite soon in. More hoppy piney notes in the finish with bitter chocolate in the aftertaste. Thick body, light to medium carbonation. Very well-made BIPA.

Osaka it’s been ages! Weird Beer x Craftrock Acid Black Coffee Sour Coffee BIPA 5.5% Deep brown with ruby highlights that looks black in certain lightings the aroma is fruity coffee beer goodness. Medium bodied sour but fruity acidity up front then coffee and grounds in the finish. Interesting brew that actually kind of works.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Bottle Apostle, South Hackney. Pours black-brown with a billowing, foamy tan head. Interesting stuff, moderately sweet, strong roast, just mellow tang, lot of ashy dryness, torched pine needles, orange rind, baking cocoa. Medium bodied with massaging carbonation. Dry, ashy finish, more burnt pine, cocoa, earth. Drinks pretty good all things considered.

dark brown color. Light brown head. Green pepper, acrid coffee with some citrus notes. Very interesting nose. Modestly tart with lots of coffee notes, modestly bitter. It’s a odd combo but seemingly does as well as it could do though I think I would prefer just to not have this combo
