Cask @ Beckettโ€™s Bank, Leeds. Clear golden with a thick creamy head. Quite smooth tasting without much flavour to it - has more of a washy bitterness with malts in its nose. Fairly strong tasting, most notable in its aftertaste.

Bottle 0.50l. Clear deep golden color with medium frothy off-white head, good lacing and soft carbonation in palate. Aroma of mild caramel, grassy hops, citrus and a bit dusty. Taste starts with light sweet toasted and grainy malt, follows by herbal and citric acidity, while finish is moderate bitter. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Pretty average brew...

Pours a clear golden color, topped with nice frothy white head. Mild malty aroma some caramel notes can be picked up too. The taste is slightly sweet and malty at first, followed by some bitterness and that unpleasant metallic aftertaste. Nothing speci8al really.

Appearance is clear and amber, lots of fizz, solid white foamy head which lasts. Aroma- hoppy, lemony, lime hints, floral, a bit meadowy, hint of caramel. Taste- fruity, bitter hops, floral notes, hint of creamy malt, bitter finish.

Dec. โ€™13. A 0.5 l bottle at Dva Tona Bar, Split. Poured hazy golden body with quite small head. Weak but fine fruity aroma, tropical mostly, with some biscuit malt. Flavor was very lightly sweet, fine fruity, although a bit weird blend of mentioned fruit malt with kinda lemon juice. Some stale notes present as well, I guess from storing in clear bottles. Medium bodied with shorter biscuity finish. Different than others but definitely a fine bitter.

500ml. This Old Empire IPA isnโ€™t really an IPA. Dark amber colour. Tan head. Aroma of caramels, but no real hops. Taste hadnโ€™t really got hops either. OK but not an IPA.
