Blond-golden color. The aroma is grassy, with hay and manure, some cereals too. Dry mouthfeel, with some grassy malt, and strong bitterness; the hopping is a bit lemony. Good.

Bottle. (Yellowhammer Summer Ale) Clear golden with a medium, fluffy white head. Aroma and taste of hops, malt, bread and some grass. Thin body, and with a short and dry aftertaste. Drinkable but nothing special.

Bottled:
Clear, deep golden colour. Small but firm head. Aroma is caramel, biscuits and grapefruit zest. Flavour is grapefruity citrus with malty caramel in the background. A very quaffable session ale.

500ml Bottle - Golden with a white head. Tea and hops feature in the aroma. Sherbet, lemon and a hint of grapefruit in the taste. I was expecting it to have a bit more flavour, but it’s not bad.

I’m told a new recipe! Lovely balance! Previous rating 7+4+7+4+16=3.8 50cl bottle. Pours an amber colour with steady bubbles and a good head. The nose has pine and some hay. The taste is of pale malt and hay and there is a pine and nettle finish. The palate has medium structure, a creamy texture and a refreshing finish. Overall, this is quite a stunning session ale.

@ Dagda Bar. Amber, bright. The aroma is very toasty. Soft body with some caramel and a light honeyish toastiness. Competent beer, but boring.

bottle from the Morag hostel bar in St. Augustus - Pours hazy yellow with a big, fluffy white head. It has an aroma of mild bready malt and grapefruit accented hops. The flavor is of mild hops, grapefruit, and bread, and is fairly sweet. It’s okay but the body is a little light and it could use more hop character.

Huge offwhite shiny head. Deep yellow body with carbonation. Fruity floral herbal aroma is very harmonic with strawberry notes. Dry-sweetish linoleum straw and flowers taste with herbal notes. Light body. Mild mouthfeel. Dry floral strawy aftertaste. Nice, mellow, very drinkable, quite interesting. (0.5l bottle, RealAle.com.)
