Bottled (Vinmonopolet Kirkenes). Blackish ruby colour with a minor head. Aroma is raisins, some sugar and alcohol with mild ripe fruits too. Flavour is ripe fruits, some wood, mild toast, tobacco and a bit ashy notes. Sweet but quite nice.

Fra flaske på Mi2, Cardinal (Asko Rogaland ølmesse): brunsvart med ok skum. Deilig aroma og smak med dessertsjokolader, mørke bær, dadler, kaffe. Godt balansert bitterhet sammen med lys chokolade i avslutningen.

Opaque colour, small white head. Soy sauce, spices in the nose. Medium-bodied. Soy sauce, bitterness, caramel. A bit restless, harsh porter.

50cl bottle. Poured cola brown color with a thin white head. Aroma has roastedness, ash. Soy sauce, roasted malt, dark chocolate. Heavy brew.

Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours hazy dark brown with little off-white head. Aroma of dark bread, chocolate, some roasted notes. Tastes slightly sweet with balancing bitterness. Medium bodied, roasted bitterness.

Svart med lavt beige skum. Lukter mørke frukter, mørk sjokolade og lakris. Middels + i fylde. Lett bitterhet. Salt lakris, noe mørk sjokolade, solbærvingummi, mørke bær og granskudd. Kort, noe saltbitter avslutning. ser ikke mye bobler, men føles som det er mye kullsyre.

500 ml bottle, from the brewery. ABV is 8.2%. Very dark brown to black colour, low beige head. Weird aroma of old bread, chicken shed, basement, molasses and roast malts. Slightly warming mouthfeel. The flavour is better than the aroma - notes of roast malts, liquorice, chocolate, prunes, coffee. Pleasant to drink.
