Ringnes Skjærgårdspils er en nordisk pilsner med en lys strågul farge. Aromaen er lett preget av blomster og frisk humle, med en ren balanse mellom humle, malt og gjærfruktighet. Smaken er ren med et lett preg av blomstereng og frisk humle, og hint av maltsødme som er godt balansert mot en lav bitterhet.
Ringnes Brewery was founded in 1876 by Amund and Ellef Ringnes, together with investor Axel Heiberg. The famous Ringnes Pilsner was introduced to the market in 1886. Ringnes Skjærgårdspils is brewed for summer and it is a light, refreshing pilsner.
Ringnes Skjærgårdspils has a pale golden colour. The aroma is mild and marked by hops and malt with notes of hay and straw. The taste is pure and balanced with a low, but smooth bitterness.

Canned (thanks SADESA). Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is malts, hops and some slight metal. Flavour is malts, hops and some skunkyness.

Can 0,5l. Pale golden coloured. A shortlived white fluffy head. Some malt in an otherwise weak aroma. Flavor of burned malt with some sweetness. Dry bitter finish. Good grief! I’m afraid that this beer is typical for the forthcoming flow of tasteless summer-pilseners from the Norwegian macro breweries.

500ml can from my local Prix-store. Clear golden body. Filmy white layer. Grassy aroma with a malty touch. Lightly malted taste with lemon accents. Pleasant, but short bitter end. Light bodied. Alright as a partner to my Good Friday dinner (06.04.2007).

Canned. A light yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma is of grain, brewing cereal, and brew mash. The flavor is of straw, malt, and a sour brewing cereal note, and the body is thin.

Medium-sized, coarse-laced white head, subsides quickly, leaving no trace. Light copper body with ongoing carbonation. Hardly any aroma at all; a very little malty sweetness with faint traces of rubber and butter. Faintly malty taste with bitter butter and rubber. No real finish, except a yeasty taste lingering. This is just completely useless. Hardly any taste at all, and what little is there is not very pleasant. I find it hard to believe a company with all the resources Ringnes has could produce this kind of stuff.
