Bottle, at HaandFest. It's a dark brown beer with a dark beige finger-thick head. The aroma is a bit neutral I think, at least compared to what the description leads my thoughts to expect, with roasted malts, caramel, coffee and dried fruits. There's some hops there as well, but they sure don't play a leading role. Flavorwise it's much the same, the hops are present, but don't feel pushing, the malts are taking lead, with flavors of roasted malts, caramel, coffee and dried fruits. It's full-bodied and nicely carbonated, quite smooth on the palate, with a lasting finish. A very gentle but nice beer. 170526

On tap @ Apollon. This one has a dark Cola brown colored body, a little red hue holding it against the light and a small quickly islandy shattered off-white head. Like the aroma. Blueberry jam, a little roasty chocolate in the back. Dark caramel. Smells nice. Tastes weird. Really herbal and sweet almost. Pors? It has a nice oily texture in the mouth and it's just below average on the carbonation. Dark chocolate syrup, blue grapes and biscuits. Not sure what this is. It grows on you after a while, but this was kinda weird imo. 04.03.2017

On tap at Bror, Trondheim. Deep dark mahogany coloured with a modest, beige head. Mild roasty aroma and light hoppy notes, some dark fruits, citrus and hints of pine. Medium sweet with surprisingly mild flavours and a quite balanced bitterness. Quite okay. --- Beer merged from original tick of 7 Fjell / Monkey Brew Bart & Breiflabb on 14 Apr 2017 at 19:54 - Score: 6

24.02.2017, tap @ Apollon:
Nice slightly fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is just weird, old rotten lawn, sulfur, minerals, bark, soda powder, old leafs, paint, sour dark fruits. Taste is dry and harsh mineraly, weeds, paper, minerals, alcohol, bark, ashtray, old leafs, bark, burnt grain, medicine, harsh hops. Longlasting harsh bitterness, dry medical mouthfeel. Crap!

On tap at Sur og Bitter Beer Festival, Sandnes. Pours hazy dark brown with dense beige head. Aroma of caramel, dark bread, some notes of dark dried fruits, mint, boiled vegetables. Tastes bitter, almost astringent - unbalanced. Medium bodied, bitter finish. YADBF7F - yet another disappointing beer from 7 fjell.

Poured from a bottle at Humle & Bier - Craft Beer Festival. Spotty lacing from a fawn-coloured head. Near-black coloured body. Liquorice and pine on the nose. Interesting blended taste of coffee, liquorice, and pine needles. Warming and lingering malt-fruity finish. Fine bodied. Like it (Shared with Finn, Tromsø 17.03.2017).
