Beaverfest. Keg. Opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Smooth palate, dry, decent fine carbonation. Mellow dark malts, a little dark chocolate. Fair helping of coffee. A little dark malt cream. Esters. Light dry finish. Not bad.

Bottle bought from the brewery stand at Craft Beer Theory, Reading. Sweet floral and coffee aroma - with bourbon element it reminds me of Irish Cream. Dark and glossy. Thin beige head. Initial light bitter. Creamy into the finish, which is when the coffee and bourbon are most evident. Thick bodied. Oily. Soft carbonation. Low key long and warming finish. Good stuff. Feel like I should be having it following a dinner party.

33cl bottle from the Grumpy Goat, Reading. A glossy black pour with a ring of tan head and almost no carbonation; quite a boozy aroma, presumably from the bourbon; a lactic feeling in the mouth, with some unusual flavours - woody vanilla and fudge, and a gentle woody bitterness; then brown sugar and chocolate syrup to finish with some warmth. Rather too sweet for me.
