At the 2017 Beer Geek Madness in Wrocław, Poland, Deer Bear won best beer. One of the things they got winning was to come and brew a collaboration beer with us here at Dugges. This is that beer. Trophy!
Late 2016 we got an e-mail asking if we wanted to be a part of the Beer Geek Madness festival in Wrocław, Poland. Naturally, we said yes. Late March we flew down, landed in Swedish mid July weather and got to experience one of the wildest beer fests ever. Imagine having a brainstorming meeting about what you wanted to do while arranging a beer festival, then doing everything you come up with. That’s what it was like. And, in the midst of it all there was a peoples choice competition for best beer by a Polish (exhibiting) brewery. Deer Bear won with a spiced Gose, and the price? Well, to brew with us. We took the spices and added them to a stout instead. Big!

Draught @ MBCC'18 [ Red Session ]. - Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2018, Øksnehallen, Halmtorvet 11, 1700 København V, Danmark.[ As Dugges / Deer Bear Plum Spices ].Clear dark black brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dark malt, spicy, plum, alcohol, chocolate. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, spicy, plum, dark malt, roasted, chocolate, rich malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming. [20180512] 7-3-7-4-15

On tap. Dark brown colour, almost black, minimal head. Aroma is lots of marzipan, some prune, some burning alcohol. Medium sweetness. Burns mouth too much. Quite good.

Opaque colour, small brownish head. Toasted aroma has dark fruits like plums. Full-bodied. Toasted malts, plums, raisins, alcohol in the flavour. Strong and solid plum soup.

Dark brown and creamy, some brown foam on top. Nose is full of dark dried prunes, sweet and creamy roast character. Taste has good dried plum character with lots of spices, good booze character. Complex. This dried dark fruit character really blends with the roastiness and spices just add a great extra touch to it. Tasty.

Big plum, roasted malt, nutmeg, cinammon nose. Full body, low carbonation tons of chocolate, dark fruit, spice . Very complex. Nice brownies and spice in the finish.

Tap@MBCC 2018 Red Session, Copenhagen - pours dark brown to black with a tan head. Dark sweet and roasted malty with prominent rich chocolate, some toffee and caramel sweetness, some dark fruit shred, full to medium body, some spices into the close.
