At the 2017 Beer Geek Madness in Wrocław, Poland, Deer Bear won best beer. One of the things they got winning was to come and brew a collaboration beer with us here at Dugges. This is that beer. Trophy!
Late 2016 we got an e-mail asking if we wanted to be a part of the Beer Geek Madness festival in Wrocław, Poland. Naturally, we said yes. Late March we flew down, landed in Swedish mid July weather and got to experience one of the wildest beer fests ever. Imagine having a brainstorming meeting about what you wanted to do while arranging a beer festival, then doing everything you come up with. That’s what it was like. And, in the midst of it all there was a peoples choice competition for best beer by a Polish (exhibiting) brewery. Deer Bear won with a spiced Gose, and the price? Well, to brew with us. We took the spices and added them to a stout instead. Big!

330ml Bottle - Very dark brown in colour. Cinnamon and plums in the aroma. Sweet and spicy taste with plums, cinnamon and cloves. A bit unbalanced and sickly.

On tap at BrewDog Soho. Almost black beer ruby edges lasting tan head. Some roast malt. Some yeast on aroma. Smooth in mouth. Hides abv well with just some heat sting on the finish. Smooth and juicy in the mouth some plum. Dark plum. Spices come through later on. The spice kind of keeps the beer in check and keeps it's from being flabby. Bit of dry powdered ginger flavour. OK. Delivers abv well and mouthfeel of creamy spiced plum is pleasant. Decent

Draught at MBCC red (third) session. A solid espresso head over a jet black body. Dotted spots on the glass. Grainy chocolate aroma, hints of cinnamon. Mixed taste of chocolate, cocoa, dark plums, and cinnamon. Sweet and warming ending. Heavy drinking. Obvious sipper qualities. (Copenhagen 12.05.2018).
