Lovely aroma. Sweet caramel, vanilla. Taste is good but not as exciting. Good caramel again, saltiness is subdued. Good taste for the strength.

Can picked up from Cotteridge Wine, Cotteridge, Birmingham, consumed at home Sunday 14th September 2018 getting ready to cook a Catalonian meal (Lobster Rice) The aroma suggests that this going to be a lactose laden, light coffee, caramel laden stout. The aroma gives a very clear indication of what to expect, it is caramel (salted) lactose, a light milky chocolate finish. Good. Pours black with a large light cappuccino head atop. Keg at the Bottle Shop - Bermondsey. Pours deep brown with a lasting creamy beige head. Alright overall, has some dried berries, bittersweet cocoa, plum, light earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, lightly oily, with fine carbonation. Finishes with more chocolate motets, dark berries, mellow bitterness, toasted wood, hints of vanilla. Alright, just a bit subdued.

440ml can. Pours black with a big beige head. Aroma of milk chocolate, caramel, light roast malts. Taste is sweet, lots of milk chocolate, caramel, sugar, vanilla, light bitter roast malts, slightly salty. Medium bodied, smooth and creamy, fine carbonation. Lovely sweet stout. Supposed to be salted caramel but the salinity of this is really low, that's fine by me though.
