Bit fluffy, whipped eggwhite-like head, quite stable over hazy pale yellow beer. Vegetable nose, outer leek leaves, ginger, other rootspices, other grains; bit dusty, chalk. Faint citrussy acidity, overlying other grains and rootspices, all very mild. Wheat, and again something hinting at chalk. Light body, spritzy carbonation, refreshing. Not bad, easy drinkable.

28/VIII/21 - 33cl bottle from Willems (Grobbendonk), shared @ summer holiday in France, BB: 28/VII/23, lot: 2107/P438 (2021-979)

Pretty clear pale yellowish beer, small creamy white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit malty, soapy, floral, yeasty, coriander. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: bitter start, bit sourish, spicy, little bitter, some coriander. Aftertaste: sourish, malty, bit soapy, unpleasant, weird and sourish, coriander notes, not very nice.

Bottle from LDW. Hazy yellow colour, white foam. Nose of wheat, lemon, coriander. Taste has notes of wheat, tart hints, coriander. Too much carbonation. Rather unbalanced. Not very nice.

The 'blond' in the Beer 4 Nature series, 75 cl bottle from the brewery. Snow white, cobweb-lacing, pillowy, frothy, stable head, initially clear 'old gold' robe, misty and deeper peachy with sediment. Aroma of banana peel, dusty old coriander seed, apple juice, white bread, dry straw, potato juice, dried lemon peel, cava, jute bags, old cardboard touch. Fruity onset, cooked apple and pear, banana, fizzy carb with soft body, fluffy and wheat-soapy; slick 'white-breadiness' with a grainy edge from the oats and a dim sourish undertone from the wheat, carrying the apple and pear fruitiness onwards to a mildly bitter finish with a dash of coriander (accentuating the general witbier feel) also bringing a 'dusty' aspect to it, as in champagne yeast. Mild and gentle, but quite 'happily' fruity, this is indeed an elegant 'apéritif' beer. Wheaty enough to qualify as a witbier of sorts, too...
