We’re tripping back to the West Coast of America in Open Space. A pale ale made with Best Ale, Cara and Light Munich malt to make a crisp and crunchy base with a deep golden hue. West Coast beers are always fun to make as it means we get to play with some of our favourite classic US hops. A steady dry hop of Simcoe and Chinook boasts sticky grapefruit, lemon, floral bouquets and pine flavours with a spiky pinch on the finish. The best part about this beer? - it’s gluten free!

Keg @ Preston, Oakwood, Leeds. Very hazy golden-amber brew with a very small head. Has a carbonated citrus taste, with this a tad sweet, not too much bitterness here. Pleasant but understated tropical fruit flavour.

440ml can: BB 31st January 2023. Drank at home on 18th September 2022. Didn't take to this at all, poured a hazy, dull old golden colour, weak white head. Bitter citrus front to both the nose and taste, piney hop undertones didn't dampen the bitterness for me either. Just seemed like a cloudy mess to me.
