We’re tripping back to the West Coast of America in Open Space. A pale ale made with Best Ale, Cara and Light Munich malt to make a crisp and crunchy base with a deep golden hue. West Coast beers are always fun to make as it means we get to play with some of our favourite classic US hops. A steady dry hop of Simcoe and Chinook boasts sticky grapefruit, lemon, floral bouquets and pine flavours with a spiky pinch on the finish. The best part about this beer? - it’s gluten free!

440 ml can, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.5%. Golden colour, only a faint haziness. Moderate white head. Moderate aroma of citrus, a hint of yellow stonefruits. Light bodied. Dry flavour with a little citrus, and fairly distinct bittering hops, which become medicinal in the aftertaste.

Tap at De Molen. Clear yellow color, full sized white head. Aroma is wheat, lime lightly, herbal or spicy, maybe white pepper, lightly bitter. Average body, fairly soft carbonation. A bit odd but different from most other pale ales so a nice change for once.
