Really interesting dark saison with spices. Deep burgundy color. Quite strange but has that classic Fantôme weirdness and fûnk.

(Bottle, 0.75 l, thanks VastActiv, at Arde, 20221021) The beer poured dark brown and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had nutmeg, black pepper, caramel and spiciness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, black pepper, caramel, nutmeg, cocoa, Belgian style yeast, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy and bitter. A yet another weird Fantôme but still tasty.

Bottle, 10C. Dark brown with a lovely fluffy pale beige head that fades to 2cm. Aroma is earthy and piney with licorice, juniper berries, bread, spices like mace, cloves. It's a bit toilet cleaner like but in a good way. Dryish with lots of mainly bitter herbs, some bread and little berries. Licorice is less prominent. A little of the bitterness at the end is hop, much is herbal/ woody - maybe there's wormwood in it too. You'd want to like bitter herbs. I do.

Bottle: Poured a dark black color ale with a large dirty white foamy head with OK retention and light lacing. Aroma of roasted malt notes with some strong sour notes and light acidic notes are also perceptible with some herbal notes. Taste is also a weird mix of off-balance flavorus between some spiced notes, acidic notes and some roasted malt notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. This brewery beads are either hit or miss with this one to eb file under ‘’miss’’.
