750ml corked and caged bottle. Hazy, Cloudy yellow pour, with a big white head. Aroma is is spicy, herbal, light rose water, some malted wheat, light funk, light tropical fruit and some fresh cut grass. Nice mouth feel, normal carb. Finish is woody, light vinous notes, earthy and slightly funky. Some light lactic funk, soft oak, and more light fruit and tartness with some good herbal, hoppy, slightly peppery end.

Notes from October 2012 Edit: Let it breath. Left half the bottle in my fridge overnight & today it's much more bearable. The fruit on the nose is a little jucier, the brett a little downplayed, with more savory funk. Taste is much the same as it was, though less rose & more of an orange character. Nice & acidy. Aerosol. Still yeasty, still a bit lacking. --- Batch 1 bottle. Tight cork & a strong pop, but no gushing. Tulip. Orange/amber body. Stiff peaks. Incessantly frothy. So perfumey. Just like kissing grandma, Rose, saline, mulch, apples, cheese rind, herbs. Adhesive, rubbing alcohol, yeast. Noxious. I sort of like it, but it's too strong & blunt, & interferes with what I could be tasting. Big yeasty. Some orange. Something tropical. Some Band-Aid. Wood pulp. Faint, rindy bitterness. Soft, but spritzy carbonation. I liked this better fresh. The Brett ate up a lot of the wine. Though it still manages to retain some body. One word: Potpourri.

Pours hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma has notes of malt, brett, oak, black pepper, fruity yeast and faint hint of acetone. Taste is light to medium sweet, light to medium bitter and light sour with a long fruity, brett funky and oak finish. Body is full, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

A hazed golden saison with a thick frothy lacing creamy off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with loads of Brett, ground cherry, light lactic notes, very nice and complex. In mouth, a nice orval like offering with light fruity esters, Brett, light lactic notes, very nice. Batch 1, August 2011. Still solid after 9.5 years.

375 ml bottle. Pours a muddy brown copper with little head. Aromas of tart berries, old peaches, dull malts and lots of Brett. Flavors of green berries, caramel malts and Brett. The Brett is not subtle and distracts. A bit overbearing for me.

750ml corked bottle. Pours a murky gold-orange with sediment particles floating around and a small, creamy, long lasting, off-white head that laces. Aroma of funky yeast, brett, red wine, lemon, orange, rose hips, oak, peppercorns and bready pale malt. Sweet flavour of lemon, orange, peach, red wine, cheesy brett funk, oak, rose hips, caramel, grainy pale malt and peppercorns with a dry, tart, bitter hop finish. Medium to full body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Lots of complexity. An excellent saison.

0,75l bottle shared by me at Powys. Batch #4, Bottled 12/2015. Orange hazy colour, small white head. smells of ripe fruits, light oranges, musty, light sweetness, marzipan, nutty. very lovely smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes earthy, spices, ripe fruits, grassy, lightly boozy, wood, grapes, tobacco, marzipan, nutty, herbal, light apple notes. finishes dry and lightly bitter with notes of spices, wood and grassy notes. very nice and interesting one, very unique, very expressive and complex maybe not the best balance (anymore) but overall very nice beer. 9 / 4 / 7 / 4 / 17

750 ml bottle, batch #4 12/2015, shared by Werckmeister, thanks!
Amber, medium hazy body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, light yellow head.
Aroma of herbs, spices, wood, white wine, grapes, sour berries, some tea, some lemon.
Tastes quite similar, but with more dry wine barrel.
Medium, slick mouthfeel mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes dry, wooden, vinous, spicy, a bit fruity, with tea, rosehip.

Good, while I was expecting more. Too much wine barrel and spicy/herbal notes for me, that aren't too balanced in my opinion. Still an interesting beer, really unique stuff, but not how I like a Saison.
