Bottle. Asda. Clear, deep copper red. Thin, dense, lasting, fully lacing, creamy white head. Nose has mild, fruity malt. Some vinous character. Nil barrel character. Taste is dry and lightly vinous. Thin body. Fine carbonation. Thin malts to finish. Pointless. Looks good, though.

Rødbrun klar med lavt beige skum. Luktet kandis, røde frukter, noe brent karamell, vanilje og noe tre virke. Middels fylde. Søt kandis, noe brent karamell og så kommer noe fra romtønnelagringen. Kort

Bottle at home. A nice looking deep red/brown colour in the glass and a good head. There was no aroma and I have to say no real flavour to the beer. Maybe it was too cold, but I only got a flavour of molasses when I really thought about it. It had a pleasant mouthfeel from all the malt, but that was about it.

Bottle from Asda. Deep mahogany in colour, with a big, frothy, off-white, head. A boozy beer, with some caramel, red berries, touch of oakiness, and some vanilla before a warming finish. The advertised rum did not make an appearance, but this was a pleasant enough beer.

Bottle at home. Pours clear amber, nose is vanilla, toffee, caramel, taste is similar. Pretty sure this is the same as all the "barrel aged" beers.
