Lervig joined us to brew their famous Imperial Stout with 3 different beans added – Vanilla, Cacao, and the infamous Tonka bean. We took a small amount of it and barrel aged it on Rum barrels. Yum!

Draught @ MBCC 2018. Pours black with a small brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, spice, light cinnamon, nuts, pecannuts, wood, dark fruit, raisins, Rum. Flavor is sweet, light spicy, roast malt, caramel, nutty, light artificial nuts, pecan, cinnamon, wood, Rum, alcohol. Medium to full body, average carbonation, sweet and spicy finish with light warming alcohol. 110518

Keg at MBCC 2018 Yellow (session Juan), 11/05/18. Black with a moderate tan cap that dissipates to nyadda. Nose is big on chocolate, rum and raisins, light roast, toffee. Taste comprises rich chocolate, rum barrell, light spice, dried fruits, toffee melt, mellow roast, hint of coffee. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light boost offered. Solid BA impy.

Nice light brown slightly fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head, deep dark pour. Aroma is slightly sweet sour-ish boozy, dark sugar, oak, minerals, bark, rhum, dark malts, cocoa, spices. Taste is slightly sweet sour-ish mineraly, booze, dark sugar, bark, oak, minerals, sour grass, rhum, spices, hay, cocoa. Medium bitterness, slightly dry sour-ish boozy mouthfeel. Nice enough.

11th May 2018 MBCC 2018. Yellow. Keg. A Theydon Bois whip cracking power rate. Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Thin dark malts. Big rum! Huge! Strong rum and raisin vibe. Quite a light finish. Long strong rummy linger. For a moment I wondered if this was a rum aged in an Imperial Stout barrel! Good fun! 13th October 2019

0,05l from tap at MBCC Gold only Session. black color, small coffee colored head. smells of sour cherries, plum schnaps, rum, light marzipan, bit boozy, lovely smell. full body, light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of sour cherries, plum schnaps, rum notes, some booze, marzipan, bit nutty, earthy, bit doughy. finishes lightly boozy with notes of plums, sour cherries and some rum notes. very very nice one, loved the plums and sour cherry notes, just a touch too boozy / some warming alcohol, but overall great. 9, 4, 8, 4, 17

Tap at MBCC 2018, yellow session. Black color with tiny head. Aroma is tonka beans, vanilla, unfermented cocoa nibs, rum. Taste is rum, vanilla, sugar cane. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Not as good as the base beer.
