Deep dark brown coloured body with a thinnish, one to two centimetre tall tan head that stays afloat nicely. Aroma of toasted malt, grain, light raisins and figs with some toffee as well, but a crisp lager yeast note as well, with some bread here towards the finish, but the sugars and malt are the most noticeable by far. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong malt notes show at first with a big rustic quality of some dirt and earthiness, but the nuts show soon afterwards and bring out a light bitterness from hops, but the sugars and especially the chocolate notes hit soon afterwards and show much stronger than the vanilla and breadiness that is picked up at the end. Aftertaste shows some malts and a lot of chocolate and sugar elements with a bit of nuts here as well, but the lager yeasts and relative bitterness is much stronger near the finish here, but still easy-drinking for the style and very full of flavour. Overall, a very complex lager, perhaps one of the best I've had in a long time, with a lot of flavours and robust sweetness, especially at the end, while being easy-drinking and pungent at the same time, somehow. Great to sample, and I'm guessing this age had something to do with it, but this was nice and if you have/had a bottle like I did, it seems that right now is a great time to sample. I sampled this 75 cL bottle, purchased from Costco in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 05-June-2019 for US$9,99 sampled at my Mom's house here in Manassas, Virginia on 05-November-2022 to celebrate my Mom's and my Son's birthday - Happy birthday to them both.

16 oz. can from Tavour. Pours a clear, ruby, brown color, with a big, foamy, beige head. The aroma is milk chocolate, toasted pecans, caramel, light cherries, and biscuits. Sweet and malty, with a yeasty finish. Medium body, with a chalky, chewy palate. This is an enjoyable and restrained lager.
Dark Chocolate pour. Thin foam. Vanilka nose. Vanilla, cocoa, and coconut flavor with coconut palate. Yum!!

16 oz. Aroma is chocolaty, coconut, cherry, nutty, vanilla, wet stone. Pours nearly clear brown but looks amber in the light; has a collapsing beige head. Taste is moderately sweet and a bit savory, finishing with a faint herbal hoppy bitterness; flavors of German chocolate cake along with that cherry/dark fruit note not mentioned on the label. You could call this a pastry doppelbock, but the sweet pastry flavors aren't as strong and in your face as they usually are in a pastry stout. The adjuncts are definitely noticeable, but they're more subtle. Although this pisses all over the Reinheitsgebot, it totally works. This is some tasty stuff.

16oz can from Tavour. Dark brown, clear, fizzy beige head. Aroma is nutty, some chocolate. Chocolate more prominent in the taste, sweet. All the orhercadjuncts are pretty subdued and I trouble picking any of them out.
