English-Style Imperial Old Ale
This quintessential English-style Old Ale is a masterpiece, with each sip being a delicious new experience. Notes of figs, molasses and leather fill your senses, all mingling with wood, vanilla and dried fruit. We painstakingly researched, perfected, and brewed a special batch of Black Treacle just for this beer. Then we aged Den Haag in rare, sought-after Blanton's Bourbon barrels, all creating an extremely delicious and memorable character.

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Deepest mahogany colour, bordering to black, no head. Intense peppery nose with treacle, dates and wood. Very sweet with full to massive body and rounded, somewhat viscous mouthfeel. Bread and treacle, port and figs. Peppery warming finish. Complex and intense. Lovely contemplative fireside beer.

Smell-medium strong, caramel, alcohol, yeast. Foam- thin, caramel, alcohol, malt, bitter tones, booze, caramel. Head is small to medium, medium dark brown color, and goes away fast. Appearance- simple can, but I like sunset frog. Black color, mo carbonation. From - pint Taste - caramel, sweetness, malt, weak bitter tones, alcohol, dried fruits and more alcohol.Massive booze aftertaste. Strong shit, but not as bag as expected for such large alcohol. Still way too big to be enjoyed casually, just a massive alcohol boost.

Tiny can shared, cute! Deep mahogany. Indeed a ton of bourbon, figs, licorice, brown sugar, alcohol, aniseed, more sugar and honey. I used to eat these honey licorice candies and this is just like those. Quite sweet, boozy bitter, full bodied. Interesting, extremely ugly label though.

Can. Pours a dark brown hue with a small white head. A huge nose, dark fruit, smoke leather. Rich. Sweet, but not cloying. Heat that mellows. Lots of dark fruit, burnt toffee, light chocolate. Damn good.

Molasses, fig, date, and cocoa mix with cherry, oak, vanilla, and a deep, dark bourbon sweetness, with a little soy sauce flitting around the edges. Very, very big, but the booziness isn’t overpowering. Eight ounces is plenty.
