"Sappl Bräu Heller Bock", Flasche von Fristo, Murnau; 20.5.2025. - Goldgelb, blank.

€-Flascherl: Golden, a bit unclear, smaller - slowly collapsing - white head;; mild sweetish malty nose with traces of honey and leafy hops in the background; moderate clean sweet and mildly bitter flavour, medium bodied, neither soft nor fizzy; lingering and a bit drier sweetish honeyish and leafy-hoppy finish. Unspectacular Bock, but pleasant...

Aroma is some starch, dms, pale malt, dust. Taste is harsh sweet malty with a bit of bitter hops. Not inspiring. Rather stale and boring.

Bottle. Pale yellow, low white foam. Hay malt, lemongrass, some rural notes. Medium body, somewhat sweet sticky dusty, Mirepoix/Maggi, grassy, earthy hayish finish. Some stickiness remains.

Bottle. Clear pale golden color with white head. Aroma is papery, some noble hops, dusty, a touch vegetal (carrot juice) and honey. Taste is the same, hay. Oily mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Standard Heller Bock, but I don't care for the style.

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a short and not very persistent frothy white head. Rather discreet aroma of biscuity malt with traces of caramel and subtle fruity notes. Moderately sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a calm carbonation. Mildly biscuity malty base with notes of caramel, honey and subtle fruity accents; sweet and cautious bitter finish with traces of caramerl and flowery hops. Inoffensive Bock. 26.II.18
