500 ml bottle. Almost clear golden, fluffy head. Banana, pear, orange, booze, some metal, mild grassy hops. Malty boozy sweet, slightly dry. Full bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry sweet boozy finish. Good!

Mariahilfer Starkbier hell, Flasche von Hopfen & Malz im Wedding. - Tief goldgelb, blank; kurzlebiger grober Schaum. - In der Nase blasses helles Malz, keksartig, und matte Hopfenherbe, Anklänge an Birne und Fruchtgummi. - Antrunk bockuntypisch dünn hellmalzig mit fein herbaler, blaß zitroniger Herbe (bittere Birnenschale). Feine Kandissüße. Milder rezent, schlank, vom Mundgefühl her ein Export. Im Abgang milde blumig-kräuterige Herbe. - Untypisch schlanker Bock, zwar schön malzsüß und gekonnt aufgelockert durch aromatische blumig-zitrusfruchtige Herbe aber ohne Wucht und nur wenig schwer. Nur langsam gewöhnt man sich daran - aber auch das ist ein Bock! (17.11.2020.)

Flasche 0,5l: Kräftiges Gold, glasklar, mäßig stabiler mittelporiger Schaum; malzig-frische Nase, leicht würzig, leichte Hopfennoten, Malz, Getreide, leichte Hefearomen, angenehme malzig-würzige Bitterkeit; frischer + leicht fruchtiger Körper, würzig, angenehme fruchtig-würzige Süße, leichte Hopfenaromen, Malz, Getreide, etwas Karamell, cremig, deutliche Kohlensäure, dezente Hefearomen; angenehmer fruchtig-würziger Nachgang

Heller, süß malziger Beginn. Herber, eher trockener Mittelteil, wobei die helle Malzigkeit bestehen bleibt. Herb-würzig, süffig, die Süße fährt zurück. Harmonisch, moderat herb, vollmundig. Langer, trocke holziger Nachhall. Gefällt. 9/9/11/9/10/9

Swing-top bottle. Golden, fine pearling, offwhite head. Dry orchard nose. Fullbodied, chewy, pleasant juicy malt base, some minerals, leafy hops, very well balanced, quite moreish.

Aroma is gummy bears, some vegetables, bonbon malt. Taste is sweet malty juice, syrupy. Pretty one dimensional. A bit too sweet for me. Not quaffable.

Bottle, Feb 2018. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is vegetal, honey, sugar icing. Taste is honey, sugar icing, pale malts. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. The flavour is really nice, the aroma not so much. 5-3-7-3-13 Bottle, Mar 2019. Much better aroma, just nice honeymelon and a touch caramel, no veggies. Taste is honeymelon, sugar icing, a touch caramel, also a bit fudge, good amount of juicy hops, fruity finish. Chewy mouthfeel and fairly dry and mineraly at the same time. Very good! 7-4-7-4-15

50cl swing top bottle as Mariahilfer Starkbier Hell. A clear golden beer with a mid-sized good lasting off-white head. Aroma of strong pale malt, mild sweet malt, straw. Taste of medium strong toasted malt, mild sweetness, straw, soft floral hops.

Bíglveršlusflaše: Golden, a bit unclear, slowly collapsing medium-sized head; sweetish grainy-malty nose with both herbal hops and a tinge of alcohol in the background; mild to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied and a bit tart; slightly drier and slightly lingering honeyish-malty and herbal hoppy finish with a slight alcohol-burn in the aftertaste. (swing top bottle, as Starkbier Hell, 6.3% abv) Clear, golden colour with a blond and short foamy head. Slightly biscuity malty aroma with hints of caramel, subtle fruity notes of pears and a whiff of flowery hops. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Mildly biscuity malt character with notes of caramel and a touch pears; sweet and cautious bitter finish with mildly fruity and flowery accents. 25.I.17
