330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.4%. Deep ruby colour, moderate and creamy beige head, nice lacing. Aroma of malts, dark dried fruits and brown sugar, some herbal and earthy hops too. Medium sweet flavour with the same elements, more hops than in most Belgian trappist ales. Very good beer.

33cl bottle from Lower Merion Beverage. Dark brown color is mostly translucent. Finger high creamy tan head. Toasted malt aroma hints at dark dried fruits and toffee. Flavor mirrors nose. Added notes of cocoa, toasted walnuts and cardamom. Smooth and elegant. Dry, sticky finish.

Bottle from Beerwulf. Aroma is brown malt with caramel, cocoa, dried fruits, yeasty notes, toffee, nuts, powdery chocolate, toasted malt. Flavour is medium sweet with a moderate bitterness. Body is medium. Very tasty, lovely aroma, if the body were a bit more full this could have been smashing. But even with its medium body this is pretty delicous.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Dark hazy brown coloured brew with an dry bitter taste and very little sourness also present. Hints of chocolate, raisin, plum and some caramel. Fine addition to the growing Trappist beer scene.

This is good and had surprising flavors, different from a Belgian monastic ale. Malt, lightly roasted. Some light baking spice and dried fruits.
