Can. Copper-red in color. A really nice three finger head especially for a doppelbock. Aroma is molasses with roasted grains. Taste is roasted grains with hints of molasses and hints of dried fruit.

500 ml can #22 from the 2023 Costco Advent calendar. Pours a clear dark mahogany color with a thick beige head and great retention. Great lacing too. Surprisingly faint caramel aroma. I expected a stronger nose. Great malty caramel flavor with a smokey finish. Hop heads need not apply. Super smooth and clean. The 7.5% ABV is completely undetectable. Medium-light body. Low carbonation and no bitterness. Dangerously repeatable. Prost!

My last can from Costco advent calendar a dream I’ve had for years to acquire. Nice way to finish with Doppelbock and not another Helles. Ruby brown pour. Nose is dried fruits and brown sugar. Tatses of caramel, plum, fig, molasses, some cola. Chewy mouthfeel.

Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus Pffafenhofen an der Ilm and consumed at home Sunday 27th November 2022 after being to see the new house with Isobel, we're listening to Beth Orton - Weather Alive, we had Chicken Chowder for tea tonight. Pours amber to reddish brown with a light beige head. Sweetness from the off, burnt caramel and toffee dominate but also some dark sugars, malt and a little sweet dried fruit. It's fine but not so memorable or exciting.

Can shared by Kyle, thanks! Pours a clear deep amber with an egg white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of bread and a bit of sweet grains with some light earthy roast underlying. Flavor has earthy sweet grains and light roast with bread in the finish.

Like a number of beers in the calendar, the fine print says brewed by Egerer. Do they own a bunch of smaller German breweries? Pours amber brown and has a nice caramel malt aroma. The flavor is sweet with caramel and maybe dates. Medium bodied. It’s no Celebrator but it’s pretty tasty.

Can, from an advent calendar. Pours clear copper-brown with a small frothy light beige head, faint caramel-malt aroma, medium carbonation, initially sweet medium bitter caramel malt taste, smooth thin body, long caramel finish. Well rounded and easy to drink.
