On tap at Iron Goat, pours a hazy amber with a small beige head. Aroma is very malty, with lots of caramely bready malt upfront, followed by sticky resinous hops. Flavour is cloyingly sweet, with lots of caramel malts, syrup, and subdued resinous hops. Cloyingly sweet, over-malted, and under-hopped. Poor.

Bottle from Safeway. Dark, hazy amber with nice one finger head, clumpy lacing. Aroma is malts, earthy, leaves, leather. Taste brings some fruity sweetness from out if nowhere, caramel . Not bad, but really all over the place.

22oz bottle thanks to derick. Pours out a copper amber topped with a sand head. Nose is earthy leaf hops a caramel malt bill and a little sweetness. Taste is more of the earthy hops a pretty well balanced malt bill.

Bomber bought at Super 1 in Rathdrum, ID. Aroma is packed with pine and a candy sweetness. Pours hazy amber with a two finger beige head with great retention; leaves nice lace. Taste is much milder than the aroma let on. It has a medium-high bitterness and a licorice-like flavor. Alcohol is hidden extremely well--it drinks like a straight IPA. Nice enough, but the aroma was really great and the flavor was a little bland.

Shaker pint draft at the Iron Goat tasting room in Spokane, Washington. The pour is clear amber with a smallish off white head. The aroma is tame sweet malt along with floral hop character. The taste is a balance between caramel fruit sweet malt and the floral hop, which also expresses some pine in the flavor. The palate is medium bodied with soft carbonation and a dry softly bitter finish. Solid Double IPA.
