Constellations is a rotating IPA series, where we bring together some of our favourite hop varieties. For Cassiopeia, we've matched the 6 stars with Citra, Amarillo, Meridian, Strata, Sabro and Kohatu to create an IPA giving us a tropical melody of mango and passionfruit, with subtle notes of vanilla and coconut.

28/5/2022. Can from Hoptimism shared at the Prague GP beer share. Pours slightly hazy pale gold with a frothy white head. Aroma of melon, passion fruit, pineapple, vanilla, flowers, touch of herb. Moderate sweetness and bitterness with a tart edge. Moderate body, slightly oily, average carbonation. Pretty decent.

Can. Hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is quite light and a little airy, decent fine carbonation. Fluffy malts, reasonably sweet. Great hop array here. Mandarin and lemon immediately obvious, but light tangerine as well, all reasonably zippy. Sabro used sparingly here but touches of pineapple and coconut are underneath the main flavours. Soft pine throughout and just a bare pinch of hop spice on the finish. Nice. More Sabro would have been good. Natch.

Panda at home, thanks to Fergus, 15/11/21. Light murk to an orange amber appearance with a good sized lasting white head. Nose is orange zest, citric tinged straw, light herb, grapefruit, stoned fruit esters. Taste comprises orange peel, melon, grass, mixed tropicana, light pine nip. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close splashed with balanced juicy come grassy hop bittneress. Decent IPA.

On tap at CBC, Clerkenwell on 15th October 2021. Hazy yellow amber with dense white foam and full lacing. Tropical fruits and hints of yeastiness in aroma. Tart lemony citrus, candied peel and apricots in-mouth with hints of salts and nuttiness. Tangy citrus fruit finish. Full bodied with a zingy mouthfeel. Superb.

Keg at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell. Fluffy stone fruit aroma. Hazy pale thin foamy white head. Light bitter. Has a tang but this is a restrained beet. Melon. Peach. Medium bodied. Slick. Flat carbonation. Long dry finish. It's fine. I drank it. But not much going on.
