Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a tulip glass. Yeasty nose. Hazy medium golden colour, huge frothy white head, good retention, fair lacing. Aroma pale malt, yeast, peach, banana, spicy notes, grassy hops. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, peach, pear, light banana, yeast. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, fruity sweetbitter aftertaste, grainy and husky notes, bit sugary, okay.

330ml can via Beer52: BB 9th September 2025. Drank at home on 9th December 2024. Clean pale golden body, white topping. Yeasty, herbal nose, the taste also herbal and yeasty, slight honey undertones if you dig deep enough.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A straw coloured pour with a loose white head; fruity yeast aroma; chewy pale malt body with some barley sugar and orange peel; then a fruity bitterness with some coriander before a warming finish. A pleasant tripel.

The blonde version of an alleged recreation of a ‘historic’ beer already brewed in the early twentieth century by the current owner’s great-grandfather if I am correctly informed – with that ‘original’ one being a dubbel and this ‘golden’ one being a present-day addition to the range. Snow white, large-bubbled, rather loosely knit, opening and irregular head on an initially clear, deep and pure yellow golden beer, turning misty and a tad peachy with sediment. Aroma of red apple, green pear, white bread, grass, dry cereals, old potatoes and vague background DMS (overcooked white cabbage). Sweet onset, ripe pear, red apple, light banana, quite sharply carbonated; smooth cereally pale malt sweetishness with honeyish residual sugars on top, balanced by a gentle grassy hop bitter tail. The sweetness dominates, though, and given the lack of inspiration or creativity here we can put this one away as just another pointless addition to the already vast ocean of interchangeable Belgian blondes and tripels, most of them justifying their existence by acting as ‘streekbieren’. Another entrepreneur cashing in on the beer hype by emphasizing story and package (label and name), rather than the beer itself.

Donkergeel bier met mooie schuimkraag. Smaak is ietwat zuur en fruitig met iets van ananas, wat pruimen en wat sinaasappel. Ik ken betere tripels.

Huge, dense, just off-white head over hazy orange beer. Citrus, malts, bit toasted, herbs. Sweet-bitterish with a slight burning-toasted flavour and feel. Sweetish citrus, but als a tad pharmaceutical. Creamy feel from the head, though medium carbonation. Medium bodied. Not an improvement, compared to the first Tipsy. Still far removed from being stellar... Thanks to Stef!
