Kräftiges kastanienbraun, dunkel wie der bayerische Wald und doch ein glanzfeines Aussehen sind die ersten Eindrücke. Deutliche Karamell- und Röstaromen umgarnen Ihre Nase, die dann aber beim ersten Schluck von einer leicht schokoladigen Geschmacksnote abgelöst werden. Nach dem ersten Schluck schmecken Sie einen Hauch von Pflaume.

500ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with average, thick, firm, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Sweet-ish, dark malty aroma, notes of malt lozenge, a touch of rock sugar. Taste is minimally dry and minimally sweet dark malty, diluted hints of malt lozenge, a touch of roast, some grassy hop, metallic overtones. Watery texture, dry palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Simple, monotonous, a tad too watery and metallic - still OK.

50cl Fles van Café Brecht. Kastanjebruine kleur, beige kraag. Moutig, caramel, ruikt redelijk zoet, bruine suiker, licht fruitig, smaak volgt, hint van noten, vijgen, roggebrood, degelijk bittere finish. Lichte body. Degelijke Dunkel.

Clear chestnut colour, medium sized dense beige-ish ecru head which lasts for several minutes; aroma and taste of prune, figs, dates, some licorice,burnt sugar and toasted rye bread notes; good one

Clear brown with an off white head. Aroma of malt, toffee, caramel, light chocolate notes and soft herbs. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Light medium bodied with light carbonation.

Lovely toffee, licorice and coffeearoma. Sweet and malty flavor with some mango fruitiness, caramel and chichorei. Just a bit thin and sticky.

From the bottle. Brown with a foamy head that slowly fades. Aroma is overripe plum and caramel. Taste is mildly sweet with toasted notes up front and lingering plum, minerals and caramel at the end. Medium body, mild carbonation. Pretty good.

50cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Trinkgut, Kleve. Brown with an off-white head. Dark malty aroma. Sweet taste. Tasty dunkel but nothing spectacular.

Tap. Clear amber color with off-white head. Aroma is rusty nail, grainy, earthy. Taste is bready, chocolate, dry finish with a finish that is a touch mineralic. Oily mouthfeel with low carbonation. Solid Dunkles.

Donkerbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is licht zoet met iets van karamel, chocolade en toffee. Best lekker maar niet echt bijzonder.
