On tap at Berliner Bierfestival. A deep golden beer with a beige head. Weak nose, sweet and malty with some hops. Quite malty flavor with a nice bitterness and some sweetness, especially in the finish. Medium body. Decent, but boring. Rating: 3-4-5-3-9-2.4. 070803

Bottle. It pours a clear, dark golden body with an off-white head. Wort-like nose with caramel and a distinct hoppyness. Medium body, dry. The flavor is bready, wort-like and with a pleasant hoppy impact. Dry, bready finish with a touch of dried fruits. Quite decent, but I ain’t gonna spend much time finding another bottle. 100814

Draught at Weisses Brauhaus, Munchen, Germany, 25-01-08 but called Brau Girgl Dunkel Dark brown with an off-white clingy head, actually on reflection more mid to dark brown in colour. Nutty tasting some hazelnut’s, soft mouthfeel, bitterness sits towards the back along with a touch of sourness. Quite hard to try this after the Eisbock but still I found this a very nice beer.

Draught, as Klosterbräu Dunkel. OK maltiness in aroma. The flavour is also malty, but seems to have a little sourness.
