Sample from bottle at Copenhagen Beer Festival 2013. Deep golden to amber colour, low head. Floral and berry aroma, hints of oak. Sweet flavour, oaky/woody with berries, the finish is drier, but could use more hops. Not as alcoholic as I feared though

En vinös och trevlig barley wine med smak av skogsbär. Aningen söt men annars rund och len i smaken, välbalanserad och ingen alkohol tränger igenom och förstör.

Bottle: Poured a medium amber color ale with a tiny bubbly head with minimal retention and not much lacing. Aroma of overly sweet malt based with light alcohol fusel is not the most enticing. Taste is also a weird mix between some grossly sweet malt with some alcohol fusel coming through and limited complexity. Body is a bit light with minimal carbonation. Not sure if this one is too old or what but it didn’t really came though as an interesting beer to drink.

Medium offwhite head. Clear deep amber body with very light carbonation. Light fruity oranges aroma with perfumy raisiny notes. Dry-sweet-acidic fruity estery banana taste with alcoholic notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, slightly hot mouthfeel. Dryish-acidic fruity caramel aftertaste with peppery alcohol notes. Pointless. (0.1l at DBF’11.)

Bottle @ home. Pours golden with a small offwhite head. Aroma of malt fruit, berries, red grapes. Taste is rather winelike with grapes, berries, ome alchohol. Medium body, soft carbonation.

Clear orange without head. Aroma is sweet fruity - vinous and alcohol. Flavor is rather sweet and light acidic with no bitterness. Finish is sweet with warming alcohol. I was very surpised when I saw this was 12 % ABV. 021010

Sampled @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2010. Golden body with a big, creamy off/white head. Aroma is refreshing berry, slightly acidic and also ripe fruity with malt. Flavor has a fresh fruitiness with sweet malt. Not much bitter. Quite strange barley wine, interesting but not fantastic.
